CHICOPEE, Mass. – The Rivier women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) battle against Elms at Leary Field on Saturday afternoon.
The draw moved the Raiders' record to 8-5-6 (8-2-4 GNAC) while the Blazers sit at 8-8-2 (7-5-2 GNAC) with the result.
Both sides put two shots on target in the opening 45 minutes of action but were unable to take the lead as the horn sounded for halftime.
The game remained tied until the late stages of the contest. Rivier threatened with four shots in the final 7:57 of regulation but could not find the back of the net.
Bri Nugent, the Raiders' junior keeper, made three stops in her eighth shutout of the campaign as Rivier outshot Elms, 15-9.
The Raiders conclude their regular-season on Tuesday, Oct. 29 as they face off against Lasell at 4:00 p.m. at Merrill Field.
