Grumblatt Collects Fourth GNAC Player of the Week Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. – Lyric Grumblatt was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the fourth time this season after powering through three games in the past week, the conference office announced Monday.

With the non-conference loss to Trinity (Conn.), Grumblatt matched her career-high points with 44 on Feb. 5. She shot 15-of-24 (62.5%) from the field and 6-of-10 (60%) from behind the three-point line. Grumblatt also contributed with nine rebounds.

On Feb. 7, Grumblatt continued to make history as her 25-point performance in a 70-59 conference road victory over Colby-Sawyer put her second in the program's all-time scoring list with 1,744 points. Grumblatt earned a double-double on this outing with 11 rebounds. 

With the 99-51 conference win on the road against Dean, Grumblatt continued her historic run, as she broke the all-time three-point record at Rivier. She scored six threes today, totaling 241 so far in her career.

Grumblatt continues to excel on the court leading the GNAC in three categories, points per game at 25.5, points with 611, and steals per game with 3.1. She is also third in the conference for three-point percentage at 39.2%. 

Rivier returns home to the Muldoon Center for Senior Night on Wednesday, Feb. 14 in a 7:00 p.m. tip-off against GNAC matchup, Mitchell.
