Grumblatt Tabbed with NEWBA First Team and GNAC Player of the Week Honors

WINTHROP, Mass.  Due to her strong performance in an 87-59 win over New England College on Saturday, Lyric Grumblatt earned her third New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) honors, with her second first team recognition while also picking up her second Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week award of the season.

Only on the court for 24 minutes, Grumblatt helped the Raiders to a victory sinking a season-high of 35 points along with seven boards and four steals. Grumblatt shot 63.2% from the field and 71.4% from behind the three-point line with five three-pointers at NEC. She is currently averaging 23.8 points per game.

Grumblatt and the Raiders fell to Bates in non-conference play on the road on Monday and will return to GNAC play on Wednesday, Jan. 10 to face Norwich on the road at Andrews Hall Gymnasium at 5:00 p.m.
