Normandin Leads Men’s Volleyball Past AIC

NASHUA, NH: Rivier men's volleyball takes down American International College this evening in non-conference action.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Rivier 3, AIC 0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-21)

- Records: Rivier (15-9), AIC (2-19)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders finished the first two sets with solid numbers. They topped AIC in kills per set with 16 in the first and ten in the second, compared to the Yellow Jackets 12 and seven. AIC did hold a lead through most of the third set until the Raiders went off for 15 kills to pull out the 3-0 victory.

Jack Normandin (Clifton Park, NY) led the way for Rivier with 14 kills. Sokunbuth Ly (Lowell, MA) finished right behind him with 11 kills on just two errors for a .450 kill percentage. Ethan Soltis (Massillon, OH) was the setter this evening, racking up 34 assists along with two kills and four digs. Thomas Miller (Clifton Park, NY) topped all in digs with 13.

- The Yellow Jackets were led by Alejandro Miranda, with nine kills and seven digs. Michael Maldonado was the lead setter in this one, dishing out 14 assists.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
