Men’s Volleyball Downs Elms

CHICOPEE, MA: Rivier men's volleyball topped Elms College in conference action this evening in three straight sets.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 3/17/23

- Score: Rivier 3, Elms 0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-16)

- Records: Rivier (8-8, 4-1 GNAC), Elms (3-13, 2-2 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders took all three sets after racking up double-digit kills. The Blazers struggled to find an offensive groove tallying only 16 kills for the match, with 0 in the third set.

- Sokunbuth Ly (Lowell, MA) finished with a game-high 11 kills. Neil Rea (Windham, NH) and Ethan Soltis (Massillon, OH) split setting, with both ending the contest with 17 assists.

- Jairam Rodriguez topped the Blazers in kills with eight on 18 attempts for a .222 kill percentage. He also had a team-high seven assists. Collin Liedke had a game-high with ten digs.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Kills: Rivier 42, Elms 16

-  Assists: Rivier 41, Elms 15

-  Digs: Rivier 37, Elms 26
