Men’s Volleyball Falls to Wentworth

BOSTON, MA: Rivier men's volleyball fell in GNAC action this morning to Wentworth Institute of Technology.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/25/23

- Score: Wentworth 3, Rivier 0 (16-25, 21-25, 18-25)

- Records: Wentworth (8-6, 6-0 GNAC), Rivier (6-7, 3-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Leopards established control from the opening set, as they racked up 13 kills compared to the Raiders five. The second set saw the best output for Riv with nine kills, but Wentworth matched them with their best set as well, ending with 15 kills. Wentworth ended the match with a solid .522 kill% to the Raiders .080 Kills%. Overall, Rivier finished with a .050% compared to the Leopards .349%.

- Wentworth had two offensive options that setter Brayden Green went to often. Jacob LaBouliere and Sam Etter received 54 combined opportunities from Green, with both finishing with 12 kills each. Green ended with 32 assists and a team-high seven digs.

- Rivier finished the match with 22 kills. Half of those came from Sokunbuth Ly (Lowell, MA), who had 11. Ethan Soltis (Massillon, OH) was back in the setting role this morning. He dished out 18 of the team's 20 assists. Thomas Miller (Clifton Park, NY) topped all with ten digs at his libero position.
