Men’s Volleyball Tops Pride

WESTON, MA: Rivier men's volleyball stays perfect in GNAC play this evening after taking down Regis College.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Rivier 3, Regis 1 (25-19, 22-25, 25-19, 25-19)

- Records: Rivier (3-4, 3-0 GNAC), Regis (4-6, 1-3 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders dominated offensively this evening, racking up 49 kills compared to the Prides 35. Other than the second set Riv tallied more than ten kills, with their best coming in the first with 15 kills. Regis never broke the double-digit mark but consistently had nine kills in three out of four sets.

- Sokunbuth Ly (Lowell, MA) led the way finishing with a match-high 14 kills and a team-high 12 digs. Chris Lezon (Lincoln, RI) also had a solid night racking up 11 kills to go with seven block assists. Ethan Soltis (Massillon, OH) had 25 of the team's 45 assists. Neil Rea (Windham, NH) contributed 18 assists along with five digs.

- Francesco Buanne and Joseph Perez topped Regis with nine kills each. Tyrell Bucasas had a match-high 32 assists, along with eight digs. Marcello Cappuccio played well in the back line with a game-high 14 digs.
