Men’s Volleyball Takes Down AIC

SPRINGFIELD, MA: Rivier men's volleyball took down American International (AIC) this evening in non-conference action.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 3/22/23

- Score: Rivier 3, AIC 1 (25-18, 20-25, 26-24, 25-15)

- Records: Rivier (12-9), AIC (2-16)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders topped the Yellow Jackets in kills in all four sets. The difference in the second set, where AIC finished on top, was that Riv committed eight errors to AIC's two.

- Sokunbuth Ly (Lowell, MA) finished with a game-high 13 kills and a .409 kill percentage. Neil Rea (Windham, NH) was the primary setter tonight, dishing out 21 assists. Thomas Miller (Clifton Park, NY) also finished with a game-high in digs with ten.

- AIC's Robert Santana led the way in kills and digs for his team, with 12 kills and seven digs. William Fitzpatrick ended tonight's contest with 21 assists.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Assists: Rivier 48, AIC 32

-  Digs: Rivier 36, AIC 26

UP NEXT:

- Rivier men's volleyball will be back Saturday against Dean College and Lasell University. The Raiders will face Lasell at 11 AM and Dean at 3 PM.
