NASHUA, NH: Rivier men's hockey defeated Post University this evening at Warrior Arena in Boston, MA.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Raiders got on the board early in the first period when Cormac Hayes (E. Longmeadow, MA) received a rebounded shot and put it back on net to beat the Eagles tender just 2:06 in.
- Rivier would tack on another to go up 2-0 in the second period on a wrist shot from Alfred Rotiroti (Chicago, IL) from the right circle.
- Post would get on the board in the third to cut the deficit to just one 1:45 into the period. Patrick Murphy was credited with Post's lone goal. The Eagles tried to tie the contest by pulling the goalie to go a man up, but they struggled to keep the puck out of their own zone, and Jon Tavella (E. Longmeadow, MA) capitalized and scored an empty netter off a Post turnover.
- Zach Richards was tagged with the loss falling to 0-2-1 on the season after compiling 37 saves. Will Augustine (Livonia, MI) got the win putting him at 3-3 to end the year. He, too, finished with 37 saves.
