SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY: Rivier men's hockey fell this afternoon to Wilkes University to end the Skidmore Tournament 0-2.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 11/27/22

- Score: Wilkes 3, Rivier 1

- Records: Wilkes (3-6-1), Rivier (4-5-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Wilkes essentially won the game in the first period scoring all three goals. Nick Godfrey put the Colonels on the board just 28 seconds in. At 12:52, Matt Carlson would put Wilkes up 2-0, followed by the final score of the day for Riv's opponent Ben Stefanini at 18:10.

- The Raiders would score a single goal in the second period at 18:28 with an unassisted score by Kurt Watson (London, ON).  

- Andrew LoRusso (Peabody, MA) entered the game in the second period playing 37:23 minutes, seeing 17 shots, and saving all of them. Michael Paterson-Jones got the win in net for the Colonels saving 19 of the 20 shots he faced.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shots: Wilkes 28, Rivier 20

-  Penalties: Rivier 17 minutes on 3 infractions. Wilkes 6 minutes on 3 infractions.

-  Power Plays: Wilkes was 0-for-1. Rivier was 0-for-3.
