AMCATS Defeat Men’s Ice Hockey

NASHUA, NH: Rivier men's ice hockey lost to Anna Maria College this evening at Conway Arena.   

THE BASICS:

- Date: 1/14/23

- Score: Anna Maria 4, Rivier 1

- Records: Rivier (5-9-2), Anna Maria (7-9-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Early in the first period, AMCATS' Patrik Peltola scored with the assist credited to August Bouveng. About a minute later, Michael Padgeon sent the puck into the back of the net, with assists from Guillaume Coulombe and Nolan Shaw for Anna Maria.

- Aryan Batra recorded the third goal for the AMCATS with a pass from Samson Mouland in the second period. Anna Maria's Derek Raposo passed to Matthew Byrne who was able to find Cam Tobey to score on a power play. Nicolas Paolucci (Toronto, ON) scored with assists credited to Jack Tos (Burlington, ON) and Zach Winslow (St. Pete Beach, FL) to put the Raiders on the scoreboard late in the second period.

- There were no goals scored in the third period.

- Luke Newell (Littleton, CO) saved 23 shots in net tonight for Riv. Aidan Richardson saved 33 shots for the AMCATS, earning the win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Shots: Rivier 34, Anna Maria 28

- Penalties: 15 minutes on 6 infractions, Anna Maria 8 minutes on 4 infractions

- Power Plays: Anna Maria was 1-for-5, Rivier was 0-for-3
