Men’s Hockey Draws Even with Dutchmen

BOSTON, MA: Rivier men's hockey ended the Boston Landing Tournament in a draw with Lebanon Valley College.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 1/8/23

- Score: Rivier 1, Lebanon 1

- Records: Rivier (5-8-2), Lebanon (2-9-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Jack Tos (Burlington, ON) got the Raiders on the board 7:29 into the first period on a power play goal. Tos was assisted by Nicolas Paolucci (Toronto, ON).

- The Dutchmen would even the score 13:25 into the second period on a goal from Tanner Tolliver. Neither team would be able to score in the third period or overtime.

- Luke Newell (Littleton, CO) saved 26 shots in net for the Raiders in the tie. Chris Branch tallied 15 saved in net for Lebanon.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shots: Rivier 36, Lebanon 27

-  Penalties: Rivier and Lebanon both had 12 minutes on 6 infractions.

-  Power Play: Rivier was 1-for-6, while Lebanon was 0-for-5.
