Men’s Ice Hockey Falls to Hawks

NASHUA, NH: Rivier men's ice hockey lost to Saint Anselm College this evening at Conway Arena in overtime.   

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/11/23

- Score: Saint Anselm 3, Rivier 2

- Records: Rivier (7-15-2), Saint Anselm (17-9-3)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Raiders' Nicolas Paolucci (Toronto, ON) tapped the puck in at 17:44 on the clock in the first period with an assist granted to Cormac Hayes (East Longmeadow, MA).

- Hayes went on to score on the power play in the second frame for Riv with assists credited to Seth Robinson (Haverhill, MA) and Milan Breczko (Klasterec Nad Ohri, Czech Rep).

- In the third period, Saint Anselm put in two power play goals to tie the score. The first Hawks' goal was scored by Luke Mix with assists from Chris Lemay and Luke Linart. The second Hawks' goal was earned by Alec Grace and the assists were credited to Jack Murphy and Matt Hayes.

- In OT, Mix produced the game winning goal and his second goal of the game for Saint Anselm.

- Luke Newell (Littleton, CO) saved 23 shots tonight in net for the Raiders. Trevor Lally recorded 18 saves for the Hawks, taking the win.

- Penalties: Saint Anselm 8 minutes on 4 infractions, Rivier 6 minutes on 3 infractions
