Golden Wolves Defeat Men’s Ice Hockey

Reading, PA: Rivier men's ice hockey lost to Alvernia University today on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  In the first period, Alvernia Gabriel Malek scored on a power play with assists credited to Hunter Alden and Logan Vande Meerakker.

- Eli Rivers recorded a goal for the Golden Wolves in the third period assists from Rylan Gudnason and Jake Sutton. About five minutes later Michael Andrews fired in the third Alvernia goal of the game, assist from Max Cole. Riv answered back with a power play goal from Jack Tos (Burlington, ON) and assists credited to Zach Winslow (St. Pete Beach, FL) and Tyler Duderstadt (Sewickley, PA). With the Raiders still in power play about a minute later Jon Tavella (East Longmeadow, MA) sent the puck to the back of the net with a pass from Ryan Nolte (Canton, MA). Riv pulled Andrew LoRusso (Peabody, MA) from net with 2:20 left on the clock. The Golden Wolves snuck in one last goal from Frazer Dodd with no time left on the clock.

- LoRusso had 29 saves for the Raiders. Brandon Daigle had 29 saves for the Golden Wolves, earning the win.
