Men's Soccer Falls to Albertus Magnus

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Rivier men's soccer team suffered its first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) setback on Saturday afternoon at Calentano Field, 1-0.

With the loss the Raiders fell to 2-1-2 (0-1-1 GNAC) and the Falcons improved to 2-1-1 (2-0-0 GNAC).

The loss halts a program best, four-game unbeaten start to the season.

In a back and forth contest, it was Albertus Magnus who found the back of the net for the lone goal with just over a minute to play to take a 1-0 that they never relinquished.

Junior goalkeeper Logan Clough recorded eight saves in the contest.

The Raiders look to get back in the win column on Tuesday, Sept. 17, as they take on GNAC opponent, New England Col., at Merrill Field on Taste of Nashua Night. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
