Hennessey Collects Player of the Week Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. – Rivier men's soccer graduate forward Thomas Hennessey put together a two-goal, one-assist performance in his Raiders debut on Friday to earn Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week honors.

The Canterbury, N.H. native posted a five-point outing in a 3-3 draw at Keene St., making his presence felt on all three Raiders goals. After assisting on the first tally, he found the back of the net on the next two to ensure a draw against the Owls, a team who had previously defeated the Raiders in the past four meetings.

Hennessey and the Raiders are back in action on Community Appreciation Day this Saturday, Sept. 7, as they face off against VTSU Lyndon with kick-off set for 1:00 p.m. at Merrill Field.
