Poitras tabbed GNAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

(Boston, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference recently announced that Rivier University Men's Basketball senior Tom Poitras has been named the GNAC's Player of the Week for Men's Basketball.

Poitras averaged 27 points and 6 rebounds for the Raiders this past week. The Bow, New Hampshire native registered a 73% shooting percentage and was 9-for-13 from the floor in a win over Norwich University. In back-to-back games against Norwich and Emmanuel, the 6-6 forward recorded 27 points as Rivier went 1-1 on the week.

This is the first time this season that Poitras has been named the GNAC Player of the Week.

Men's Basketball returns to action on Wednesday night when they travel to Lasell College.
