Men's Basketball drops tough game vs. Plymouth State

(Concord, New Hampshire) The Rivier University Men's Basketball team dropped their second consecutive game this evening as they fell to Plymouth State University, 73-61 in the 2013 Boys & Girls Club Classic hosted by New Hampshire Technical Institute.

Senior Nick Walch (Dedham, MA) led the Raiders with 14 points on the night as he shot 5-for-9 from the field. Walch also led the team in rebounds with 4. Senior Tom Poitras (Bow, NH) and junior Jake Nelson (Nashua, NH) added 12 points apiece as they were they only three to reach double-digit in the scoring department.

Plymouth State was led by Curtis Arsenault who knocked down 8 of 11 from the field en route to a 22 point night. He also collected 7 rebounds to lead the Panthers to victory.

Rivier will look to find their winning ways this upcoming weekend as they host the 20th installment of the Rivier Tip-Off Tournament. The Raiders will host Saint Joseph's College of Long Island in the tournament's first game at 6pm on November 22 inside the Muldoon Gymnasium. Endicott College and Wheelock College will play at 8pm in the other game that night.
