Nashua's Feehan named Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

(Nashua, NH) The Rivier University Men's Basketball program has announced that Nashua, New Hampshire native Matt Feehan has been named an Assistant Coach for the team beginning this season.

Feehan graduated from Nashua South High School in 2007 where he was a member of the school's basketball team. During his senior year, Feehan was selected as a team captain and received an honorable mention on the All-State Team.

He then went on to Plymouth State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in the Honors Business program. The PSU Athletic Department then nominated him for the Capitol One Academic All-America Team. During his time at Plymouth State, Feehan was a member of the Panthers Basketball team that went a combined 47-57 during his playing days in which he appeared in 100 games. He is a career 39.4% shooter from the floor, including shooting 37% from beyond the arc. He scored 290 points in his career with 197 rebounds as Plymouth State reached the Little East Conference Tournament all four seasons.

Feehan is excited to share his knowledge and passion of the game with the current members of the Raider basketball program. He will join fellow Nashuian, and Rivier graduate, Lance Bisson along with another Rivier grad in Chris Giordano on Coach Dave Morissette's staff for the 2013-14 season.

"I'm excited to be on the other end of the spectrum as a coach at Rivier and I cannot wait to help this program as much as I can." – Coach Matt Feehan

Coach Feehan will get his first look at the Raiders when pre-season opens up on October 15th and he'll be a first hand witness to the Midnight Madness game against Daniel Webster as the season will begin on November 15th at 12:01 AM.
