Sicard Tabbed GNAC Defensive Player of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass. – Rivier field hockey graduate student Chloe Sicard was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Raiders to a 1-1 (1-0 GNAC) week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
The Salem, N.H. native was a consistent presence all over the field, making open-field tackles and coming away with the ball on contested plays to help Rivier allow just one goal against.
On top of her defensive success, Sicard put two shots on goal in Saturday's GNAC win over Albertus Magnus.
Sicard and the Raiders return to action in a conference clash at Dean on Wednesday, Sept. 18 with a 4:00 p.m. start set from Grant Field.
