Field Hockey Downed By Framingham St., 1-0

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – The Rivier field hockey team dropped a 1-0 decision to Framingham St. in non-conference at Maple Street Field on Tuesday night.

With the loss, the Raiders fell to 1-2, while the Rams improved to 1-2.

After a back-and-forth first quarter with both teams trading chances, the Rams found the back of the net with just over nine minutes remaining in the second, notching the game's only goal.

Senior goalkeeper, Kylie Coupal, would tally five saves in the contest for Rivier.

The Raiders are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 14, as they take on Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) foe, Albertus Magnus, to begin conference play. The game is set to start at 1:00 p.m. at Merrill Field.
