Xenidis named GNAC Player of the Week

(Nashua, NH) It was just announced by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference that Rivier College senior Alex Xenidis has been named the GNAC Men's Volleyball Player of the Week.

The native of Shelton, CT, Alex led the Raiders to a 4-0 week with all 4 wins coming against GNAC opponents.  Alex played in just 9 of the Raiders 13 sets in the week but dominated when he was in with a .395 hitting percentage, 2.6 kills/set, and .89 blocks/set all which were significantly above his season average in those categories.  He also chipped in with 4 ace serves and 4 digs in the week.

Rivier Volleyball will return to action on Thursday night when they host the winner of Albertus Magnus/Wentworth in the GNAC Semi-Finals. Game time is scheduled for 7pm inside the Muldoon Gymnasium.
