Raiders sweep Leopards on Heritage night

(Nashua, NH) The Rivier College Raiders swept the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards in three straight sets on Heritage Day here in the Muldoon behind Honorary Coach Sister Theresa Couture.

The Raiders (2-1 overall, 2-0 GNAC) were led by sophomore Terence Matatall (Danville, NH) who recorded 7 kills on the evening. Junior Steve Visentin (Cheshire, CT) now holds a three game streak with 20+ assists with 28 and also tied for the team high in digs along with senior Chris Convertito (Trumbull, CT) with 8.

For the Leopards (3-2 overall, 0-1GNAC) they were led by sophomore Ross Burdett (Needham, MA) who had a team high 11 kills. Junior Tyler Moriarty (Willbraham, MA) also led the team with both assists and digs with 20 and 12 respectively.

The Raiders will return to action tomorrow afternoon (2/4) when they take on past members of the Men's Volleyball program in the annual alumni game here in the Muldoon Gymnasium, 4:30pm start time. Their next GNAC matchup will be next Thursday (2/9) when they travel to play Emerson. Wentworth's next game is next Tuesday (2/7) when they host Emerson.
