Men's Volleyball takes down JWU in four

(Nashua, NH) During the Raider's annual senior night the Rivier veterans led the rest of the squad to a 3-1 victory over GNAC rival Johnson and Wales University. All four seniors Alex Xenidis (Shelton, CT), Tajh Stokes (Salem, NH), Drew Corwin (Framingham, MA), and captain Chris Convertito (Trumbull, CT) started for the Raiders and played big parts in the victory.

The highest scorer for the Raiders (19-8 overall, 11-0 GNAC) was once again freshman Chris Markuson (Cupertino, CA) who led Rivier with a team high 16 kills and 20 overall points. The highest scorer for the seniors on the night came from Xenidis who contributed with 8 kills, 2 service aces, and 3 block assists.

For the visiting Wildcats (14-15, 6-5 GNAC) their top performances came from three different players that all tied with a team high 10 kills, sophomore Shawn Kennedy (West Barnstable, MA), freshman John Bosch (West Palm Beach, FL), and sophomore Dan Struebing (Coventry, RI).

The Raiders next game will come on Thursday (4/5) when they will travel to Wentworth College for another GNAC match-up. The Wildcats will also play on Thursday when they will host the visiting Emerson College.
