Men's Volleyball earns split in Buffalo, NY

(Nashua, NH) The Raiders (11-6 Overall, 5-0 GNAC) dropped the first game to the host Medaille (16-6 Overall, 7-3 UVC) 3-0 in three close sets as they pushed the envelope each match (31-29, 25-23, 27-25).

Freshman Chris Markuson (Cupertino, CA) led the Raiders on most of the statistics with 14 kills, 10 digs, and 16 points overall. Junior Steve Visentin (Cheshire, CT) also helped out with 41 assists on the night and 1 blocked shot.

The Mavericks senior Nick Johnson (Buffalo, NY) had a big game as he led with 20 kills and 23.5 overall points. Junior Aaron Woomer (Cheektowaga, NY) also led the game with 49 assists.

In the second game on the day the Raiders redeemed themselves with a victory over the D'Youville Spartans (8-13 Overall) in 4 sets 3-1. Markuson once again led the Radiers with 22 kills and 25.5 overall points. Sophomore Senior Chris Convertito (Trumble, CT) led the defensive side with 15 dig on the afternoon.
