Women’s Hockey Shutout by AMCATS

MARLBOROUGH, MA: Rivier women's hockey was shutout this evening at the New England Sports Complex.  

THE BASICS:

- Records: Anna Maria (3-15-2), Rivier (6-12-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The AMCATS netted one goal in the first period, followed by two in the second and one in the third. Morgan Daly scored the first two goals of the game. Sara Sammons and Tessa Henry finished out the scoring to get the final.  

- Madelyn Morgan (Riverside, CA) was tagged with the loss after racking up 26 saves. Aurora Vanwormer got the win after saving all 13 shots faced.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shots: Anna Maria 30, Rivier 13

-  Penalties: Rivier 6 minutes on 3 infractions. Anna Maria had 4 minutes on 2 infractions.

-  Power Plays: Rivier was 0-for-2. Anna Maria was 0-for-3.
