Women’s Ice Hockey Falls to the Bison

DUDLEY, MA: Rivier women's ice hockey lost on the road in overtime against Nichols College this afternoon.   

THE BASICS:

- Score: Nichols 3, Rivier 2

- Records: Rivier (1-4-1), Nichols (1-5-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- In the first period, Nichols scored first with a goal from Megan Buxton on a power play. Ellie Grady (Kingston, MA) responded with a Raider goal with assists from Angeline Rasby (Rapid City, SD) and Molly Dukesherer (Richland, MI). 10 minutes later, Dukesherer found the back of the net with assists from Gabriella DeSouza (Shrewsbury, MA) and Jillian Hallee (Berlin, NH).

- Avery Moriarty kept the Bison in the game with on a power play goal with assists credited to Taylor Breen and Jessica Gossas-Moberg in the second period.

- In OT Megan Buxton scored the winning goal for Nichols and her second goal of the game.

- Madelyn Morgan (Riverside, CA) had 51 saves for the Raiders. McKenzie Muir had 19 saves for the Bison, taking the win.
