RUTLAND, VT: Rivier women's hockey fell this evening to Castleton University.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Spartans shut out the Raiders, scoring two goals in the first period. The first came from Emily Harris, followed by Emery Bonner.
- They added one more in the second period on a power play by Samantha Lawler. Brooke Greenwood and Ellie Schliebener tacked on the final two goals in the third period to get the final score of 5-0.
- Rachel Symmes (Chugiak, AK) tallied 38 saves in the loss. Spartan tender Izabella Segui saw just ten shots, saving all of them.
