NASHUA, NH: Rivier women's ice hockey won against Anna Maria College this evening at Conway Arena.   

THE BASICS:

- Date: 1/27/23

- Score: Rivier 2, Anna Maria 1

- Records: Rivier (5-10-2), Anna Maria (2-15-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Anna Maria scored about one minute into the game and then did not score again. The goal was scored by Shayla MacDonald with the assist from Grace Dodge.

- Raiders' Margaret Smith (Portland, ME) softly flicked the puck over the AMCATS for an unassisted goal in the second period. Riv capitalized on the power play with a goal from Brianna Rumptz (Troy, MI) and the assists credited to Ellie Grady (Kingston, MA) and Caeli Reed (Norwood, MA).

- No goals were scored in the third period.

- Madelyn Morgan (Riverside, CA) had 38 saves in net, earning the win. Julia Smith recorded 13 saves in two periods and Sam Dahill saved four shots in the third period for the AMCATS.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Shots: Anna Maria 39, Rivier 19

- Penalties: Rivier 12 minutes on 2 infractions, Anna Maria 2 minutes on 1 infraction

- Power Plays: Rivier was 1-for-1, Anna Maria was 0-for-1
