Women’s Ice Hockey Suffers Loss to Bears

RUTLAND, VT: Rivier women's ice hockey lost against SUNY Potsdam at the Castleton Invitational Tournament today.

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Megan Teachout scored a Bears goal five minutes into the first period unassisted.

- In the second period SUNY Potsdam scored three goals. Rebecca Holmes passed to Kaylee Merrill which resulted in a power play goal. Mackenzie Martin sent the puck to the back of the net a few minutes later with assists credited to Karley Green and Rachelle Cain. Cain then went on to put away a short-handed goal unassisted.

- Holmes broke by Riv defenders in the third period to record an unassisted goal.
