Flagg, Jones selected to GNAC Field Hockey All-Conference Team

(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference unveiled the first ever Field Hockey All-Conference selections and both Raider seniors Makenzie Flagg (Shirley, Mass.) and Veronica Jones (West Chesterfield, N.H.) were selected to the Conference's 2nd Team.

Flagg was tabbed as the All-Conference 2nd Team goalkeeper as she backstopped the Field Hockey team to their first ever postseason appearance. She finished her senior year with six victories and 173 saves. Flagg also recorded her lowest Goals Against Average (GAA) with 3.40 and fewest goals allowed with 48. She also tied her career high with three shutouts and ranks #1 in the GNAC in Saves and Save % (.783). This is the first time that Flagg has been named to an All-Conference Team in her four year career.

Jones was named a 2nd Team All-Conference Defenseman as she led the team's defensive front along with leading the penalty corner kill. Jones started in all 18 games this season for the Raiders.

Also, sophomore Chelsea Gomes (Epsom, N.H.) was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team and the Rivier Field Hockey team received the 2014 Institutional Sportsmanship Award.
