Raiders take out Mass. Maritime in regular season finale

Rivier College (19-13 overall; 12-1 GNAC) swept Massachusetts Maritime Academy 25-3, 25-7, 25-11 to extend their win streak to 8 games.

Seniors Caitie Callahan (Dedham, MA), Emileigh Cenedella (Townsend, MA), and Lauren Saccoccio (Warwick, RI) wrapped up the last regular season game of their careers with a combined and versatile 8 kill, 9 assist, 6 ace serve, 8 dig, and 2 block effort. Freshman middle hitter Sammie Gagnon (Rollingsford, NH) paced all Raiders with 7 kills and a .777 hitting percentage while freshman Taylor Davis (Machiasport, ME) and sophomore Megan Dudek (West Chesterfield, NH) combined for 12 kills on 16 attempts for a .750 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter Erin Sweeney (Chicopee, MA) dished out 14 assists while classmate Morgan Peck (Sudbury, MA) had her hand in everything with 5 digs, 3 kills, 3 ace serves, and 2 blocks. Freshman Becky Weaver (Epping, NH) was steady all match as well.

Rivier will host the Quarter-Finals of the GNAC Tournament on Tuesday 11/1 at 7:00pm. The opponent will be Lasell College.
