Finlayson named ECAC and GNAC Player of the Week

(Nashua, NH) It was announced today that Rivier College junior Kenna Finlayson (Derry, NH) has been named the ECAC Women's Volleyball Divison III New England Player of the Week.

Finlayson helped the Raiders to a 3-0 record by averaging 5.25 kills and 2.58 digs per set. She also posted two double-doubles during the week, highlighted by a 27 kill performance in a five set win over Emmanuel College.

Finlayson was also named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week.

The Raiders recorded the three wins over GNAC opponents Johnson and Wales University (3-0 final), Saint Joseph's of Maine (3-1 final) and Emmanuel College (3-2 final).

This marks the first time in the history of Women's Volleyball here at Rivier that a Student-Athlete has been named the ECAC New England Player of the Week for Division Three.
