Pawlusik Picks Up GNAC Libero of the Week Honors
WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior libero Sofia Pawlusik notched 6.33 digs per set over nine sets as the Raiders went 2-1 (1-0 GNAC) this week as she was tabbed the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Libero of the Week. In the final match of the week, Pawlusik became just the ninth student-athlete in Rivier women's volleyball program history to reach the 1,000 career digs milestone.
The Raiders started the week with a 3-0 sweep over Norwich in which Pawlusik notched 21 digs. From there, she added 11 digs in the early match against UMass Dartmouth before the team swept Castleton with Pawlusik recording 25 digs.
This is Pawlusik's fourth career GNAC weekly award.
Rivier returns to GNAC play on Tuesday, Oct. 24 in road action at Colby-Sawyer with first serve set for 7:00 p.m. from the Hogan Sports Center.
