Women’s Volleyball Eases By Norwich In Straight Sets

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Rivier women's volleyball team cruised by Norwich in three sets on Tuesday night at Andrews Hall, capturing the Raiders' sixth Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory in the process. Rivier was triumphant by set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-19 as the Raiders hit .315 as a team in the match while limiting the Cadets to a -.054 hitting percentage.

Brynn Roche hit at an .833 clip out of the middle on the evening, recording five kills on six errorless attempts, while also tacking on three blocks. Sophomore Callie Nanos followed right behind from the right side, collecting seven kills at a .545 percentage. Ali Rivera led the team with nine kills, followed by Lily Sills' eight, and Sam Driend's seven. Ryan Hicks (22) and Kaitlyn Miller (10) combined to pass out 32 of Rivier's 34 assists in the contest. Libero Sofia Pawlusik set the defensive tone with 21 digs.

The Raiders will once again press pause on its GNAC slate to take on UMass Dartmouth and Castleton on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Glenbrook Gym on the campus of Castleton University.
