Women's Soccer draws scoreless tie vs. Nichols College

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Women's Soccer team and Nichols College battled to a scoreless, double overtime draw this evening at Raider Field. The non-conference contest went the maximum 110 minutes and at the end the Raiders saw their record slide to 2-3-1 overall while Nichols moves to 1-5-1 on the season.

Rivier sophomore Lauren Goodspeed (Merrimack, N.H.) stopped all eight shots she faced on net for her second shutout of 2015. Nichols' Kelly English was successful on the six shots she saw on net in the stalemate contest.

The Raiders will return to the pitch on Saturday afternoon as they host Albertus Magnus College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest. Game time is scheduled for 2:30 pm at Raider Field. Nichols College returns to action on Thursday afternoon as they host Fitchburg State at 4pm.
