Women’s Basketball Stunned by AMCATS

PAXTON, MA: Rivier women's basketball was upset this afternoon in conference action against Anna Maria College.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Anna Maria 76, Rivier 72

- Records: Anna Maria (3-8, 1-4 GNAC), Rivier (7-8, 4-3 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders dominated the first quarter outscoring the AMCAT 26-18. Anna Maria bounced back in the second to cut the deficit by one, bringing a 38-31 game into the half in Rivier's favor. The AMCATS continued to climb back into the game with a 24-point third to the Raiders 20 points. The fourth quarter saw the home team complete the comeback on a huge three-pointer from Gina Parmenter. The AMCATS would go on to gain and hold the lead.

-  Marinique Reddin dominated the game both in scoring and on the boards. Reddin racked up 33 points and an impressive 17 rebounds, completing the double-double. Parmenter added 16 points and five rebounds.

- Hannah Muchemore (Nashua, NH) led the way for the Raiders with 25 points along with seven rebounds. Alexa Dufries (Leicester, MA) added 17 points, and Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
