Women’s Basketball Falls Short to Regis

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier women's basketball team put together a great run at the end of tonight's game after being down by 20 points in the fourth quarter. The Raiders fell short, however, to GNAC opponent Regis College.

THE BASICS:

- Score: Regis 83, Rivier 74

- Records: Regis (3-6, 3-0 GNAC), Rivier (6-6, 3-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  After taking a 21-15 lead into the second quarter, the Pride found their groove behind Pam Gonzalez and Madi Zancan. Regis put up 22 points compared to the Raiders 11 in the second quarter to take a 37-32 score into the half. The Pride continued to roll in the third, adding another 24 points to Rivier's 14. The Raiders would put together a 28-point fourth to Regis' 22.

Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) led the way for Rivier with 27 points. Hannah Muchemore (Nashua, NH) finished with a double-double of 11 assists and 17 points.

- Zancan led the way for Regis with 26 points and ten rebounds. Gonzalez added 24 points of her own, along with another 11 rebounds.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Rebounds: Regis 54, Rivier 29

-  Assists: Rivier 16, Regis 11

-  Shooting %: Regis 45.6%, Rivier 33.3%
