Women’s Basketball Surpasses Fisher in Season Opener

BOSTON, MA: Rivier women's basketball opened their season this evening by taking down Fisher College in non-conference action.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 11/8/22

- Score: Rivier 85, Fisher 52

- Records: Rivier (1-0), Fisher (0-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  After a 29-22 first half, the Raiders extended their lead drastically in the third quarter after dropping an impressive 38 points. Rivier had five score double digits this evening, led by Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) and Hannah Muchemore (Nashua, NH). Grumblatt had a game-high 19 points, followed by Muchemore with 18, along with five assists and five steals. Rachel Quinn (Clinton, MA) added 15 points as well for the Raiders.

- The Falcons struggled to possess the ball as they accumulated 36 turnovers to the Raiders 14. They did, however, have a better shooting percentage from the floor, shooting 42% compared to Rivier's 41%. Ladaeja Robinson and Madison Kelley match each other for the team-high with 15 points each. Kelley did finish with a double-double, pulling down 16 boards.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Assists: Rivier 27, Fisher 12

-  Rebounds: Fisher 44, Rivier 39

-  Steals: Rivier 22, Fisher 7
