Panthers Climb Past Women’s Basketball

PLYMOUTH, NH: Rivier women's basketball fell this evening in non-conference action to the Panthers of Plymouth State.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 11/15/22

- Score: Plymouth 73, Rivier 64

- Records: Plymouth (2-1), Rivier (2-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders came out firing, putting up 27 points in the first quarter. Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) scored 11 of her 29 points in the first. Unfortunately, they slowed after that as Plymouth worked their way back, starting in the second quarter. The difference came in the fourth when they were able to put up 28 points on River to their 11.

- Grumblatt had the game-high with 29 points to go with her five rebounds and three steals. Hannah Muchemore (Nashua, NH) added 16 points and six rebounds in the effort.

- The Panthers had that third person to hit double digits to add to Sophie George's 25 points and Jalen Cook's 17 points and 15 rebounds giving her the double-double.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Rebounds: Plymouth 49, Rivier 38

-  Assists: Rivier 12, Plymouth 10

-  Shooting Percentage: Rivier 37.9%, Plymouth 34.7%

UP NEXT:

- Rivier will be back this weekend when they take on Worcester State in the Wesleyan Tournament at 7 pm on Saturday.
