Women’s Basketball Halts the Bison

NASHUA, NH: Rivier women's basketball won against Nichols College in non-conference action tonight in the Muldoon Center.

- Records: Rivier (2-0), Nichols (0-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Rivier picked up the pace in the second half to earn a 20-point lead over the Bison. Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) led the Raiders with 24 points. Hannah Muchemore (Nashua, NH) had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Riv's Bea Stafford (Saunderstown, RI) contributed 11 points, and Alexa Dufries (Leicester, MA) with 12 points.

- Tonight, was Nichols' first game of the season, and they did not get the result they hoped for. Kiera Fernandes led the Bison with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Abrianna Vazquez put up 12 points for Nichols. Shots were not falling for the Bison tonight, with a field goal percentage of 24.3%.
