NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier University Women's Basketball team suffered an 81-57 defeat this evening to visiting Fisher College in a non-conference contest inside the Muldoon Gymnasium. The loss sends the Raiders to 4-15 overall on the year while the Falcons, now winners of their last five contests, are 13-11 overall this season.

Freshman Arianna Motivala (Nashua, N.H.) led the way for Rivier as she finished with the team-high of 14 points scored on 6-of-11 shooting from the floor. Classmate Heather Ries (Mont Vernon, N.H.) added 13 points, including drilling three 3-pointers, and fellow freshman Jaden Smith (Nashua, N.H.) added 11 points off the bench in the loss. Sophomore Alexandra Grumblatt (Manchester, N.H.) pulled down 15 rebounds for her 16th double-digit rebound game of the season.

For Fisher, senior Vivian Lara (Norwalk, Calif.) shot 5-for-12 from beyond the arc to lead the team with 17 points scored as she was one of five Falcons to reach double-figures. Matching Lara for the game-high with 17 points was sophomore Shaniah Hazard (Providence, R.I.), who was 7-for-9 from the floor. Junior Jennifer Rosales (Morgan Hill, Calif.) finished her night with 11 points while sophomore Misha O'Neal (Tampa, Fla.) collected 10 points. Freshman Madison Kelley (Moosup, Conn.) recorded the games only double-double as she finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds over her 36 minutes of action in the win.

Next for Rivier will be a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest on Saturday afternoon as they host Albertus Magnus College. Game time is set for 1pm. Fisher, meanwhile, will return to action on Friday night as they entertain Pine Manor College for a 5pm tipoff.
