Women's Basketball: Clark guides Raiders to 64-48 win at Mount Holyoke

SOUTH HADLEY, MASS. – The Rivier University Women's Basketball team earned a 64-48 victory this evening over Mount Holyoke College in a non-conference contest hosted by the Lyons. The Raiders are now 3-6 on the season while the Lyons fell to 1-7.

Four different Raiders reached double figures in the contest as sophomore Ciera Clark (Pembroke, N.H.) led way with 15 points. She is just the fifth different member of the Women's Basketball team to lead the team in points scored over the past nine games. Classmate Alexandra Grumblatt (Manchester, N.H.) continues her double-double streak as she scored 14 points while collecting 20 rebounds and fellow sophomore Cydney Lessard (Auburn, N.H.) finished with 13 points. Freshman Arianna Motivala (Nashua, N.H.) added 12 points off the bench for Rivier in the win.

The Lyons were paced by Ellie Hayward, who recorded the game-high of 20 points and Mikayla McEwen added her own double-double of 10 points and 14 rebounds. Annika Brooks also reached double-figures in rebounds as she gathered 16 on the night.

Rivier will close out the first semester of action in their next scheduled contest on Saturday afternoon as they host Pine Manor College in a 1pm non-conference affair inside the Muldoon Gymnasium. Mount Holyoke will return to the floor on Saturday afternoon as well as they host the University of Saint Joseph at 1pm.
