GNAC Releases Baseball and Softball All-Conference Selections

NASHUA, NH: The Great Northeast Athletics Conference released the softball and baseball All-Conference this afternoon, revealing that six Rivier University student-athletes were named to a respective team, one clinching two spots.

SOFTBALL

Kylee Caetano (New Bedford, MA) and Christina Panagiotopoulos (Lowell, MA) were named to GNAC All-Conference First Team. Caetanostarted at second base for the Raiders and finished out the season with a .390 batting average, 48 hits, 22 RBIs, and 31 runs. She also recorded four home runs and 11 doubles on the season. At second base, Caetano collected a .925 fielding percentage. Caetano earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team for Rivier softball as well.

Panagiotopoulosstarted in center field for the Raiders and ended the season with a .403 batting average, 48 hits, 39 RBIs, and 28 runs. She also put away six home runs and five doubles. In center field, Panagiotopoulos attained a .941 fielding percentage.

Sarah Fraizer (Londonderry, NH) was placed on the All-Sportsmanship Team. So far at Rivier, she has a total batting average of .332 with 72 hits, 44 RBIs, and 58 runs.

BASEBALL

Dylan Aliberti (Sandown, NH) and Nate Bonacorsi (Goffstown, NH) each earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Aliberti was the starting catcher for Rivier and contributed with a .289 batting average, 37 hits, 21 RBIs, and 22 runs. Behind the plate, Aliberti had a .975 fielding percentage.

Bonacorsi pitched for Rivier, earning a 3.35 ERA, 40 strikeouts, three wins, and 45.2 innings pitched.

Zachary White (Long Beach, CA) was placed on the All-Sportsmanship Team. Throughout his career at Riv, his combined batting average was a .375, with 57 hits, 31 RBIs, and 38 runs.
