Five Members of Field Hockey Team Secure GNAC All-Conference Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) recognized five members of the Rivier field hockey team for All-Conference awards.  

Madison Streeter, Sydney SpenardMaeve Perras, and Kylie Coupal each earned a spot on the GNAC All-Conference Third Team, while Hailey Morse made her way to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team. 

Streeter, a graduate forward from Westminster, Vt. achieved her best season yet. She collected a career high of 29 points this season on 12 goals and five assists. She totaled 62 shots this past fall, with 52 on goal, starting in all 17 contests. Streeter was a key component of the squad during four years at Riv.  

Spenard, a Manchester, N.H. resident, totaled a personal best of 22 points, on nine goals and four assists. The junior forward, started in all 17 games, taking 36 shots, to earn the award as a midfielder. Spenard was a consistent contributer for the Raiders program. 

Perras, an Atkinson, N.H. native, started in all 17 games this season as a junior back. She was a huge part of the Raiders defensive line which allowed just 43 goals. 

Coupal from Derry, N.H. started in goal in every contest this season, tallying 896:24 minutes. The junior posted a goals against average of 2.88 and save percentage of .757, making 134 saves over eight wins, with one shutout. Her 134 saves made were the fourth most saves in the GNAC this season. 

Morse, a junior from Manchester, N.H., completed this season as a midfielder, acquiring 10 points on three goals and four assists. She came off the bench, taking charge on the turf, and supporting the Raiders in their eight overall wins. Morse, a positive light on the field, will look to excel in her senior season.  

Rivier made it to the GNAC Quarterfinals but fell in overtime to Colby-Sawyer. With the leadership of first year head coach, Hayley Sutherland, the Raiders will continue to build their program in the 2024 season.
