Coupal Tabbed GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week

GNAC RELEASE

WINTHROP, Mass. – Rivier field hockey junior Kylie Coupal allowed just two goals in back-to-back conference victories, while making seven saves to be named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week.

After playing in the first quarter of a combined shutout over Elms on Wednesday, Coupal made seven saves on nine shots to help Rivier to a 4-2 victory over Saint Joseph's (Me.), which was the first over the Monks in the all-time series (13 games).

The pair of home victories boosted the Raiders' in-conference winning streak to seven games as they make a push for the playoffs. Coupal now sits fifth in the GNAC with 117 saves on the season.

This is the first GNAC weekly award of Coupal's career.

The Raiders will conclude their regular season in a battle at Lasell on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 5:00 at Grellier Field.
