NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier women's volleyball team downed Lesley by set scores of 25-7, 25-12, 25-13 in a non-conference clash on Tuesday night at the Muldoon Center.
The victory improved the Raiders' record to 3-4 overall while the Lynx were handed the loss in their season-opener.
Rivier used a balanced offensive attack to notch a .348 hitting percentage. First-year Savannah Dunne hit at an .889 clip, registering eight kills on nine errorless attacks over two sets of action. Dunne's classmate Tia Pegler recorded a team-best 11 assists.
The Raiders were impressive from the service line, dropping in 31 aces with senior Ryan Hicks recording seven of her own to pace the squad.
Next up, Rivier will play host to Gordon another non-conference tune-up on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Muldoon Center.
