Lasers Triumphant Over Women’s Soccer

NASHUA, NH: Rivier women's soccer lost to Lasell University in conference action tonight on Joanne Merrill Field. 

THE BASICS:

- Score: Lasell 7, Rivier 1

- Records: Rivier (0-15-1, 0-12-1 GNAC), Lasell (11-5-1, 11-1-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  In the first half, the Lasers' Emily DeHart kicked off the scoring only six minutes into the first half (44:12) with her 3rd goal of the season. With 20:57 left in the first half, Lasell's Bobbi O'Guin was able to tag on a second goal for the Lasers. The Raiders were able to get on the board with roughly four minutes left in the half as Maddie Curran (Pelham, NH) snuck one in on a beautiful assist from Kaylee Magoon (Loudon, NH).

- At the start of the second half, the Raiders checked in Emily Mikelson (Concord, NH) as the new goalkeeper, who tallied six saves on the night. The Lasers came out of halftime aggressively, netting two goals in four minutes to extend their lead to 4-1. Serena Speight continued to apply pressure, capitalizing on a hat trick only 13 minutes into the second half. The scoring continued to pile on in the second half as Lasell's Michelina D'Agostino was able to convert a laser from Speight. Reana Duran capped the night off with Lasell's final goal.

- Maya Puma (Tyngsborough, MA) had nine saves in goal for the Raiders. Elizabeth DaSilva and Riley Silvia both had zero saves in goal for the Lasers, taking the win.
