Monks Gain Win Over Women’s Soccer

Standish, ME: Rivier women's soccer lost in conference action to Saint Joseph's College this evening in Standish, ME.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- In the first half the Monks put away four goals. Aaliyah Wilson-Falcone scored the first goal for St. Joe's six minutes into the contest with a pass from Nikki Sheehan. A minute later Monks' Madison Michaud netted a goal, and the assist was credited to Lelia Weir. Samantha Colatruglio passed to Alicen Burnham who scored for St. Joe's. 20 minutes into the first half, Michaud was able to get a clear path to send the ball to the back of the net for the Monks.

- Michaud would go on to score her third goal of the game in the second half, with the assist being credited to Alicen Burnham. With about one minute left in the game, Tatum Hancock increased the Monks lead to 6-0.

- Maya Puma (Tyngsborough, MA) earned the start and had nine saves for the Raiders. Monks' Carly Downey had zero saves, taking the win.
