Women’s Soccer Loses a Tough Battle to Eastern Nazarene

NASHUA, NH: Rivier women's soccer lost to Eastern Nazarene in non-conference action on Joanne Merrill Field this evening.  

THE BASICS: 

- Date: 9/16/22 

- Score: Eastern Nazarene 3, Rivier 2  

- Records: Rivier (0-3-0), Eastern Nazarene (1-4-0) 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

- In the first several minutes of the night, Raiders Olivia Maxwell (Hamden, CT) had an effortless header goal, that was placed perfectly by Elizabeth Chauvette (Goffstown, NH) on the cross. Lions Jordan Lee fired back within a few minutes later with a goal, passed from Deeana Castro. The Lions were not done yet, adding another goal from Rachel Pieger. The Raiders battled back with a goal from Kaylee Magoon (Laudon, NH).  

- About ten minutes into the second half, the Lions put up their final goal scored by Beatriz de Oliveira Segato.  

Maya Puma had nine saves for the Raiders. Jasmine Arzu had 5 saves for the Lions, taking the win for the evening.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

- Shots: Eastern Nazarene 19, Rivier 13 

- Corner Kicks: Rivier 5, Eastern Nazarene 4 

- Saves: Rivier 9, Eastern Nazarene 5
